OSSA Powerlite® products communicate over the proprietary OSSA-CANtm communication buss. The OSSA-CAN system uses standard NMEA 2000 cabling to link individual products such as generators, propulsion motors, thrusters, Micro Airtm air conditioning, GFStm power distribution safety system and other accessories together in a single network or "buss". Information on the status of all devices on the network is communicated to the user via graphical touch-screen displays. As two-way devices, these screens also allow the user to setup and change the operational parameters of any product on the network. Since all devices share a common buss, any touch screen can receive data from, and send data to, any OSSA Powerlite product. Up to 50 devices can be connected together on a single OSSA-CAN communication buss.
